Sony unveils first models to receive Android KitKat - TeK.sapo

According to information provided by the company, the first models to receive the upgrade will be the Sony Xperia Z, ZL Xperia, Xperia Tablet Z, Z Ultra Xperia and Xperia Z1.

The upgrade will begin to be available only at the beginning of next year and will reach users in stages, by regions. The details for the regions that receive the first update released by Google at the end of last month with the Nexus 5, are not yet known.

Later, the manufacturer intends to extend the upgrade to a broader range devices, a guarantee from now, but no more details.

Before that, Sony’s priority is to ensure the upgrade of existing models marketed for version 4.3 of the operating system (Jelly Bean) a task that is running.

In addition to the facilities already mentioned, advancing to the Jelly Bean in the coming weeks ZR Xperia, Xperia SP, T Xperia, Xperia and Xperia TX L.
