Android Tunado: Visual Metro [video] - Tecmundo

Android users have a feature that is not available on any other mobile operating system: the highest level of customization. And therefore, you can combine the best of both worlds, abusing all the features of Google’s OS, but with the look inspired by another device.

in Android Tunado today can leave your gadget with a sleek interface of Windows Phone, one of the easiest customizations already present. Check out the step by step to start the transformation.


Step 1: download required

Let’s start downloading all the applications required for this customization. Unlike other editions of Android Tunado, today we will have a folder with icons and images exclusive Baixaki because the launcher will take care of most of the work. Check out the list:

  • Launcher 8 Free: interface-base our transformation.
  • Messaging Metro Beta: application for sending messages similar to the original WP.
  • Windows8 Keyboard: Keyboard inspired by the Microsoft operating system.

  • Eye in Sky: widget for the weather forecast.

Step 2: Configure the interface

The first step is to properly install the Launcher Free 8. After downloading the application, press the Home button, select the interface and tap the “Always.” Now, this is the new standard interface for your Android.

On the first screen you can now view the Metro style. You will also notice that the lock screen of Android changed since customized according to the operating system that served as inspiration.

The content is basically ready, but you can customize it in several ways:

  • To add tiles, select the menu button and tap “Add”. That way you can choose between widgets, apps, shortcuts and folders.
  • You can also change the color of the items individually. Select the tile for a few seconds and choose the pencil icon to edit. You can then change the name, position, icon size and background color also.
  • To change the order of the tiles, tap the screen for a few seconds, and when the edit icons are displayed, you can slide them from one side to the other to change the location.
  • notifications for each item are displayed in the actual tile. This configuration is now standard, but to enable / disable, go to the option of editing the tile again (pencil icon) and select the last function in the list.
  • Metro has only one screen, which is scrolling down, adding how many tiles you want.
  • To access your applications, slide the screen to the left. They are arranged alphabetically.
  • To add a paper appears, go to your device menu and select “Wallpaper”. Several imaging options to the main screen and lock.

Step 3: a new keyboard

Now it’s time to enable keyboard interface Metro. You have already downloaded the app Windows8 Keyboard.

  • Access the Android settings.
  • Select “My device”.
  • Touch the “Language and inclusion.”
  • Check the box Windows8 Keyboard.
  • Access the “Standard” and check the Keyboard Windows8.

Step 4: widget weather forecast

To put the weather forecast on the screen of Android, we will use the application Eye in Sky.

  • Select the menu and tap “Add”.
  • then “Add widgets”.
  • Choose the “Eye in Sky icon”.
  • “Text color”, choose the white color.
  • “Background color”, leave everything transparent, placing the selection bar on the right side of the screen.
  • “Icon Overlay Color”, select the text box, choose the white color again and select “OK”

Now the new tile is applied and you can change its location and background color as you wish.

Step 5: Shortcuts to Metro style apps

Early Android Tunado today, we indicate applications Any.Do, Messaging Metro Beta and Fusion Music Player as applications that match the style of the Metro interface. Now you can create shortcuts on the main screen for these applications.

Any.Do and Fusion Music Player widgets have options, since the Messaging Metro Beta can be added as a shortcut. They all have their visual inspired by the Windows Phone, making the experience of its new interface even more complete.
