According to several sources close to the site The Verge, Intel is behind the production of machines capable of booting Windows and Android operating systems at the same time. And, to better show the “dual OS”, the company will present their idea during CES 2014 that will be held from 7 to 10 January in Las Vegas, in the United States.
The concept, already used by Acer in a PC, seeks to reverse the low sales of personal computers in recent months – that only in 2013 showed a decline of 7.6% the 2nd automakers. In Intel chips, Android will run through virtualization techniques, allowing simultaneous execution of both operating systems applications.
The problem, however, is that the sources cited by The Verge show that neither Google nor Microsoft are in favor of the idea. “Microsoft does not want that to happen,” said an analyst at Moor Insights and Strategy, Patrick Moorhead, to the site.
If the hybrid engine will be well received by users, only Intel can show during CES 2014. The company’s presentation at the event is scheduled for next Monday, at 14 o’clock, so be tuned for more updates!
