the spy scandal involving the U.S. government and its National Security Agency (NSA), many people have become increasingly concerned regarding your privacy, especially in electronic devices such as smartphones. The Apple devices, for example, were big target of spying by the NSA. Thus, many politicians and executives are probably looking for solutions outside of the major manufacturers for a device of communication.

Therefore, many companies are taking advantage of it and releasing their devices with more complex security to try to escape from any kind of espionage, in particular the NSA.

One of the manufacturers to launch an “anti-spy” smartphone is the Bull SA, a French manufacturer of safety devices. The smartphone called Hoox m2 has several security mechanisms and all information is encrypted both in software and hardware. Besides the fingerprint reader and other authentication methods, the device runs a modified version of Android that encrypts all calls, SMS messages and emails.

Despite all that, the specs are modest, and the Hoox m2 comes with a 4.68 inch screen with resolution 540×960 pixels, quad-core 1.5 GHz, 1GB RAM Cortex A5 processor and a 5 megapixel camera on rear. Toy for grownups (very large) can be purchased for a pricey $ 2,760.

This is just one of many devices that promise maximum security. the GSMK, German manufacturer also has its own smartphone this guy named CryptoPhone. For sure other manufacturers will come in jest. Now we can only have something really effective in normal smartphones, as privacy should not be something bought but a right for all. [PhoneArena]
