Android devices are those that spend more data - TeK.sapo

The data are from a study of Ericsson, unsurprisingly, also puts the tops of the range of the mobile operating system from Google in the set of devices that more data on average spend (4GB per month).

There are several factors that explain the situation, starting with the size of the screens. With larger screens and usually resolution images downloaded to Android phones also end up being higher. Addition, such devices are also commonly used for watching movies and other videos.

The version of the operating system also influences the consumption data. The study indicates the inefficiency of Android in general, to manage applications in the background compared to iOS, at least until the Jelly Bean version, since that’s something supposedly improved in Android 4.4 KitKat.

The report speaks of mismanagement of closure of applications, even if they are not in use, keep running in the background, connecting to the network and downloading data.
