Sagemcom Launches Fixed smartphone with Android - Tecmundo

Sagemcom performed in France their new home communication device, the Alium, a mix of landline with smartphone. The device even looks a lot like ordinary phone, with Android as operating system and all functions of fixed telephony.

According to the manufacturer, the device has a touch screen of 3.5 inches with resolution of 320×480. In addition, it supports high-quality audio, speakerphone, DECT few dimensions of waves and works with other brand handsets.

How it works with Android, you can install any app from Google Play system. For this, it has 2 GB of internal storage, plus an SD monitor 4GB. A front camera of 2 MP is also available for video calling.

No information about the version of Android device or incorporated into any detail about possible updates of the OS. The company sells the device for 199 euros in Europe, but is still studying the launch of the device in national stores.
