Launching a Nokia with Android seemed unlikely. But the public’s desire was fulfilled and Nokia X was introduced to the world in the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona.

Nokia, which will soon be integrated by Microsoft, has created equipment using the software of archrival Google, promising exciting products in the low-cost smartphone market.

The first models, Nokia X, X + and XL rely on a free version of Android, which has become the world’s most popular software used in smartphones.

The Nokia X will cost 89 euros, 99 euros + Nokia X and Nokia XL – which has a 5-inch screen and two cameras behind with 5 megapixel and 2 megapixel front with – will cost 109 euros . It is the most aggressive that there may be, taking into account the design, the quality of material used by Nokia and unique that customers will access services.

Director of Nokia Stephen Elop said the market “has changed dramatically”, and the group needs a segment below 100 euros, which is predicted to grow four times faster than most phones expensive.

“We see the family as complementary to X (WindowsPhone) Lumia, but more affordable,” he explained.

Mission: Attract customers to the Android Lumia

By using a free version of Android, the new Nokia phone does not have to rely on Google services and neither access to Google Play App Store. Instead, Nokia will add their own music programs and maps, and offers email services, cloud, messaging and search engines (Bing, Microsoft).

Apps will be available on Nokia’s own app store as well as a number of other application stores, Elop revealed. Is it possible to download apps from Google Play, now that will be available through the Nokia Store or alternative stores like YandexStore and SlideMe. You can also install them via SD card via sideloading – just take the apk. Some apps come pre-installed, including BBM, Plants Vs. Zombies 2, Viber, Vine and Twitter.

The creative company still included in the new equipment similar to that can be found on the Nokia Lumia phones icons.

X indicates a cross between Nokia hardware, Android Apps and Microsoft services – the idea is so new equipment that will serve as a springboard for the Lumia, and share the same cloud services (cloud). Nokia did so surely all you can to try that users of Nokia Lumia X are fans.

The phone is designed to be a sort of Trojan horse for the Android system, with the theory that will cultivate fans of Nokia / Microsoft with their services and low prices.

“We will compete with other Android models too low and we win the hearts and minds of customers with the most popular Microsoft services” advanced.

Elop The idea is to present the “billion people” Microsoft Services who have never used such as Skype or Outlook. Ensuring that betting remains the whooping of the brand: “The Lumia remains our primary smartphone strategy,” Elop said. “Is the Lumia that we will continue to have the greatest innovations.”

Acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft

A year ago Microsoft announced the purchase of Nokia, in particular, the segment of mobile devices and services. With this acquisition, Microsoft wanted to make it even stronger and face the WindowsPhone competitors Apple and Google.

In recent years, Nokia had big losses after insisting on launching handsets with the Symbian system lagged, abandoned after the release of 808 PureView. The company, which for years has been the market leader in mobile devices, has lost ground to iOS and Android devices. To attempt to recover space, since 2011, Nokia adopted Windows Phone, Microsoft’s system on their smartphones. The partnership had positive results in recent times, but still below the financial needs of the Finnish giant.

For Nokia, the purchase meant an attempt to return to the top, which is currently dominated by Samsung and Apple. And even at that time the new “owner” of the Finnish company promised to make changes, leaving Nokia fans very intrigued. But far from imagining that the result would be launching devices with Android system.
