The discussion is never easy and may not even have an exact answer – because the analysis and interpretation of performance varies from person to person, from test to test.
But there are tools on the market that help to get an idea of smartphones that have the best performance indices. One such tool is the AnTuTu Benchmark, one of the most popular software for measuring performance on mobile devices.
The company released the list of those who are the ten most powerful Android smartphones 2014, given an average rating of all ratings submitted in the program during the year. Users from more than 160 countries contributed to these statistics.
And knowing that were announced and made available a few high-end smartphones in these first weeks of January, these are probably the most powerful Android devices on the market. Namely:
The list shows two major highlights: the field of Chinese brands and the counter area of Samsung. Chinese manufacturers are five smartphones in the top 10, and the first place is won by Meizu. Samsung is already the most represented manufacturer with three products on this list, two of which in the top four.
Another element in evidence is the Google Nexus 6 – which despite being built by Motorola is now Lenovo, should be attributed to Google – the first smartphone with Lollipop and despite only having arrived in second half of the year, managed to get directly to the second position.
Also according to the AnTuTu information, all smartphones with the best performance levels in 2014 are new equipment: in 2013 the top 3 had been occupied by two variants of the Galaxy Note 3 and the Gionee E7.
