Android loses momentum in Europe with the arrival of the new iPhone – TeK.sapo


 The new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus rekindled the desire of consumers by Apple. If for a while Android with oversize screens helped turn some users of iOS, the latest smartphones apple brand came remove some force to the operating system from Google.

In the three months that ended in November 2014 Google’s Android was the most popular operating system in Europe with 69.9% market share. Yet the focus is on the loss of 3.2 percentage points compared to the same period 2013.
 

The breakdown of Android seems to have two culprits: the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Apple. Of all smartphones sold in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy, about 22.28% had the operating system iOS. And France was the only country where both the Android and iOS grew, as in the other markets of the Google operating system lost position – 6.7 percentage points in the UK for example.
 

The analyst firm reveals even in press release that 18% of new users of iOS migrated from Android.
