So as you usually do at the beginning of every month, Google yesterday updated data on the Android distribution with information collected for a period of seven days, ending yesterday, April 1. This time, what caught attention was the use of Android 4.4 KitKat, whose percentage of fans doubled.

In the last month, the appliances that logavam on Google Play KitKat and used the version represented 2.5% of devices with the operating system. Have this latest survey, the number rose to 5.3%. It may seem like a small percentage, but double the number of users in a month can be a sign that KitKat is finally on the way to conquer the masses.

The percentage of use of Jelly Bean, however, fell slightly with the rise of his younger colleague. The numbers were 62% to 61.4%. The Ice Cream Sandwich version dropped from 15.2% to 14.3%, while the Gingerbread continues to decline, reducing its mark on the statistics of 19% to 17.8%. With these new data, it is known that 81% of all devices are now running version 4.0 of Android or some college.

Google officially released version of its operating system name with acclaimed wafer chocolate at the end of October 2013. However, one must understand that much work and coordination on the part of manufacturers mobile devices and carriers is required for the apparatus is ready to receive such significant Android updates. Therefore it is unlikely that KitKat will win leadership as the most used OS version still in 2014.
