The world of technology is full of twists and it is common to see former partners become large rivals or else companies refusing offers for products that seemed bankrupt, but who later became successful pieces. A good example is Android, Laptop currently most used operating system on the planet.
Though quite associated with Google, it was not created by an independent startup. The story of Android begins in 2003, when Andy Rubin and his team created the company Android Inc. and developed the eponymous system originally developed for digital cameras, but soon shifted its focus to the still very nascent branch of smartphones.A year and a half after its founding, the foundations were already solid OS, but the company had no money to boost higher flights. It was then that Rubin contacted Samsung who laughed and dismissed the offer ready to invest in something whose success seemed highly unlikely at the time.
In 2005, only two years into the project and two weeks after refusal of Samsung finally Rubin and Google entered into an agreement and the owner of the most famous search engine on the planet acquired what would become one of its main products. The rest of the story everyone knows and Android is already close to being updated to version 4.4.3.
