Android 7.1.2 with new functions in the fingerprint sensor … – AndroidGeek

Google has announced to day that a new maintenance update of Android Nougat is now available for owners of the Google Pixel and the Nexus 5X, participating in the Beta program Android. The version of scheduler is available only to the owners of the devices mentioned above, although a version for the Nexus 6P is expected soon.

According to Google, the Android 7.1.2 is a "update periodic maintenance focused on polishing and refinements," but the owners of the Nexus 5 that they have installed on their phones are reporting that a new feature appeared on the Settings, the "Move".

For those who don’t know, "Moves" are the actions of digital printing introduced by Google in the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. When the phones Pixel were released, many fans of the Android system complained about the apparent reluctance of Google to provide the feature for the last two phones Nexus, that have the same sensors of fingerprints found in Pixels.

Well, in a pleasant surprise, the "Moves" is coming to both devices with the launch of Android 7.1.2! According to Google itself, the final version of the maintenance update will be released within a few months.

If you haven’t heard of the "Moves", they are basically shortcuts that allow you to access different features of the phone or to control parts of its interface, using the fingerprint scanner. There are currently four "movements" in total, and you can check them in the image below:
