Google does not want misleading ads and applications implemented schemes that lead to the installation of other applications. These are just two examples of the new rules imposed by the Google developers with the goal of making software Store and Google Play cleaner and less intrusive.
Besides intrusive, these devices are misleading since many times the user clicks on the ads by instinct and not by choice. Technological Mountain View also do not want programmers to simulate other apps that are known to the people as a way to “lure” interfaces.
Another new rule explicitly says that henceforth the applications will not be able to send SMS without user consent. This scheme was used by fraudulent apps like TeK detected last year in Portuguese Android store, but is also used by some programmers in an attempt to make your viral apps.
Google is still tighten the rules on applications with adult content. “Apps that contain or promote pornography are prohibited, this includes sexually explicit or erotic content, icons, titles or descriptions,” says the company. As TechCrunch points out, a quick search for the term sexy on Play Store reveals that there is still a long way to go until the new rules are adopted by the developers .
The changes come shortly after unconfirmed reports circulating that Google is also enhancing the levels of Android security thinking in the business environment.
